General plan for a new housing area in the old Hatanpää hospital area in Tampere in the immediate vicinity of Hatanpää Manor. The aim was to create an entity which fitted in with the existing historically valuable elements in a natural and comfortable fashion, but which also provided a clearly contemporary new layer to the existing building stock of the Hatanpää peninsula. The problem of parking facilities was solved through using a mixture of traditional multi-story facilities and modern automatic robot installations.
