Ylöjärvi centre

Invitational competition, 1st prize and subsequent commission

Comprehensive idea for the cityscape of Ylöjärvi centre concentrating on city growth and densification of the existing city centre. A central park connects the different sub-areas and public transport is based on two commuter train stations. Densification, public transportation arrangements and the service structure promote sustainable solutions. Based on the winning entry, studies on Ylöjärvi centre: effects of different tram alignment, workshops, ideas for neighbourhoods.
