Finnoo Marina City

Open competition (62 entries), 2nd prize ex aequo (no 1st prize awarded)

Following sustainability principles, a densely built urban infill project based on public transport and the promotion of walking and cycling. The plan promotes active city life close to the shore and integrates the area to the Finnoo metro station area. Innovative apartment blocks and other building types made particularly suitable for a waterfront environment, have been developed. The design protects the nearby wetland which is an important nesting area for birds.
